 The Financial Secretary, John Tsang, says he's expecting the real estate market to cool, following a series of measures to curb rising prices. The government had increased land supply, introduced a special stamp duty and asked banks to tighten mortgage lending.The Financial Secretary, John Tsang, says he's expecting the real estate market to cool, following a series of measures to curb rising prices. The government had increased land supply, introduced a special stamp duty and asked banks to tighten mortgage lending.

In an interview with Bloomberg in Chicago, Mr Tsang predicted a "soft landing" for the property market amid recent declines in transaction numbers and prices. He also reiterated that the government had no intention of making changes to the territory's US-dollar peg at the moment.
